The ARAI HELMETS Quantum-X Helmet in steel red is expertly designed for riders with slightly wider heads, featuring a distinctive round oval shape achieved through an innovative interior headliner that combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads. The helmet's construction incorporates the Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell, which combines multiple materials and advanced techniques to deliver durability, lightweight performance, and affordability. The Quantum-X features the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system, which lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, resulting in a smoother shell surface area around the temples. This design enhances impact energy reduction and improves glance-off ability, providing better protection in the event of a collision. The VAS latch securely captures and holds the shield closed, preventing accidental openings and facilitating intuitive, seamless shield operation, including a de-mist function.
Airflow management is optimized with the QVF three-position intake vents and QVR exhaust ducts, which facilitate excellent air intake and exhaust performance, keeping riders cool and comfortable. The side vent continues to serve as an exhaust even when the front shutter is closed, ensuring consistent ventilation. The helmet also includes FCS® cheek pads, which are contoured with multiple foam densities supported by a foam “spring,” cradling the face for easy on and off while blocking wind noise. This design enhances rider comfort and reduces external noise interference.
Additional features include a water-repellent ES chin cover that enhances the helmet's egg shape, smoothing airflow and increasing exhaust from the mouth area. This reduces wind noise from below and improves overall aerodynamic performance. The VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield, compatible with the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, comes standard with the helmet, with a Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert included, ensuring fog-free visibility.
