The Arai Helmets Quantum-X Helmet in Diamond White offers a carefully engineered design tailored for riders with slightly wider heads. Its round oval shape is achieved through an interior headliner that combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads, providing a comfortable fit without compromising safety. The helmet's innovative shape ensures a snug yet comfortable feel, reducing fatigue during extended rides and enhancing overall stability. Crafted with the Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell, the Quantum-X combines multiple materials and advanced techniques to deliver both durability and affordability, ensuring it withstands the rigors of daily riding.
The Quantum-X features the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system, which lowers the pivot point by approximately 24 mm, resulting in a smoother shell surface in the temple area. This design improves impact absorption and enhances the helmet's Glance Off Ability, providing better protection in the event of a collision. The VAS latch also offers a secure and intuitive shield closing mechanism, including a de-mist function for clear visibility in all weather conditions. The helmet comes equipped with the VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield, compatible with the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, and includes a Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert for optimal fog resistance.
Airflow management is a key feature of the Quantum-X, with QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts that optimize air intake and exhaust performance during rides. The side vent continues to serve as an exhaust even when the front shutter is closed, maintaining ventilation efficiency. The FCS® cheek pads, contoured with multiple foam densities supported by a foam “spring,” provide a secure fit, block wind noise, and facilitate easy on-off. Additionally, the helmet features a water-repellent ES chin cover that enhances the helmet's shape, smooths airflow, and increases exhaust from the mouth area while reducing wind noise from below.
