The ARAI HELMETS Quantum-X helmet in Steel Blue offers a superior blend of safety, comfort, and advanced features for riders seeking reliable head protection. Designed with an innovative oval shape, the helmet features an interior head liner that combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads, making it ideal for riders with slightly wider heads. This tailored fit enhances comfort during extended rides while maintaining optimal safety standards. The shell employs a peripherally belted Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC), utilizing multiple materials and techniques to deliver high performance at an accessible price point.
Equipped with the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system, the Quantum-X lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, creating a smoother shell surface around the temple area. This design reduces impact energy transfer and improves glance-off ability, which enhances rider safety. The VAS latch also ensures the shield remains securely closed during rides, with an intuitive operation that simplifies shield handling and de-misting functionality. For airflow management, the helmet features QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts, delivering excellent ventilation whether the front shutter is open or closed, while the side vent functions as an exhaust even when the top duct's shutter is shut.
The helmet’s FCS® cheek pads are contoured with multiple foam layers and supported by a foam “spring,” providing a snug fit that cradles the face and minimizes wind noise. The included water-repellent ES chin cover enhances the helmet’s aerodynamic profile, improves airflow around the mouth area, and reduces wind noise from below. The VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield is compatible with the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, which is included as part of the package, offering fog-free visibility.
