The Alpinestars Supertech R10 helmet combines advanced molding technology and multi-composite layering to deliver superior strength, energy dissipation, and lightweight performance. The outer shell features a high-density 3K carbon layer, a uni-directional carbon composite, aramid fiber, and fiberglass layers bonded with epoxy resin, ensuring optimal mechanical performance and impact absorption. This construction provides enhanced energy management and limits outer shell deflection, allowing the helmet to better distribute impact forces over the EPS liner for increased safety. The layered composite design is engineered for durability and reduced weight, offering riders confidence during high-performance activities. Inside, the helmet boasts four multi-density EPS liners with six strategically placed densities to optimize impact energy absorption and fit. The smooth, low-friction inner surface minimizes oblique impact forces by allowing the helmet's liner to move independently of the rider’s head, reducing transmitted forces and the risk of concussions. The innovative A-Head Fitment System enables precise adjustment of both helmet height and tilt, ensuring personalized comfort and optimal impact protection. Developed with CFD simulations and validated on the track and in wind tunnels, the helmet’s aerodynamic features include two detachable spoilers—standard and race versions—with elastic joints to mitigate rotational energy during impact. Lateral winglets further improve stability and reduce aerodynamic drag, while turbulators on the visor enhance aero-acoustic performance. Ventilation is prioritized with 11 intake and exhaust points, including large top vents, chin vents, and side ports, all integrated with internal channels for active airflow circulation.
