The Alpinestars Supertech R10 helmet combines advanced molding technology with a layered composite outer shell to deliver superior strength, energy dissipation, and lightweight performance. Featuring a 3K high-density carbon outer layer bonded with epoxy resin, the shell offers excellent mechanical performance and controlled outer shell deflection, which helps distribute impact forces more effectively across the helmet. This construction enhances impact energy management, providing better protection while maintaining a sleek, aerodynamic profile. The shell's design is optimized through CFD simulations and validated in wind tunnels and on-track testing to ensure low drag and aerodynamic stability. Two aerodynamic spoilers, including a standard and a longer race version, are fitted with elastic joints to detach under significant impact, reducing rotational energy transfer and enhancing safety. Lateral winglets further support stability and aerodynamic efficiency, while the visor includes turbulators to improve aero-acoustic performance, ensuring a quieter ride at high speeds. The helmet features eleven ventilation points, including three chin guard intakes, four top vents, and four exhausts, all integrated with internal airflow channels to promote active cooling and moisture management. These vents facilitate airflow over the rider’s head, reducing heat buildup and fogging on the visor, especially with the laminated flow design created by strategically positioned chin and top vents. The chin vents are designed with adjustable openings to direct airflow towards the visor, preventing fogging and misting, while rear extractor vents efficiently exhaust hot air to maintain comfort during intense riding. The interior is equipped with four multi-density EPS liners, featuring six specific densities tailored to absorb impact forces in critical zones, which improves overall impact protection. The EPS surface is smooth and coated to minimize friction during oblique impacts, reducing the force transferred to the rider's head and neck. The helmet also includes the innovative A-Head Fitment System, allowing precise adjustments to the helmet's height and tilt, ensuring an optimal fit for comfort and safety. This system helps customize the helmet’s position relative to the rider’s head, enhancing both comfort and impact performance.
