The Alpinestars Supertech R10 helmet is engineered for high-performance racing, combining advanced materials and innovative design features to optimize safety, aerodynamics, and rider comfort. Its outer shell utilizes molding technology with a multi-composite construction, featuring a 3K high-density carbon fiber layer for exceptional strength and energy dissipation. This outer shell is further reinforced with a uni-directional carbon composite layer, aramid fiber, and fiberglass, bonded together with epoxy resin to maximize mechanical performance while maintaining a lightweight profile. This layered approach ensures superior impact resistance and limits outer shell deflection, allowing for a wider energy spread and enhanced absorption by the EPS liner. The shell's design also contributes to improved aerodynamic stability and reduced drag, thanks to CFD validation and wind tunnel testing, making it suitable for both track and road use. The helmet is equipped with aerodynamic spoilers—standard and race versions—featuring elastic joints that detach upon significant impact to reduce rotational energy transfer. Additionally, lateral winglets support stability and further improve aerodynamics, while a visor with turbulators enhances aero-acoustic performance for a quieter ride. Ventilation is handled through 11 strategically placed points, including seven intake vents (three on the chin guard and four on the top) and four exhaust ports (two on the chin and two rear). These ports are integrated with internal air ducts and channels within the EPS liner, promoting active airflow over and around the rider's head for optimal cooling. The top vent features a large slider for easy operation, directing air towards the crown for comfort and hot air extraction. Rear extractor vents and chin bar openings facilitate the removal of humid air, preventing fogging and maintaining clear vision. The EPS liner employs eight layers with six specific densities, ensuring effective impact energy absorption across different zones, with a smooth, low-friction surface designed to mitigate oblique and rotational impacts. The inner shell is constructed with four multi-density EPS layers, enhancing fit, comfort, and impact performance. The A-Head Fitment System allows for precise adjustments of the helmet's height and tilt, ensuring an optimal fit tailored to individual preferences.
