The Arai Helmets Quantum-X Helmet in vibrant Fluorescent Yellow offers a sleek, oval-shaped design tailored for riders with slightly wider heads. Its interior headliner combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads, providing a comfortable fit that enhances stability during rides. This helmet features a peripherally belted super complex laminate construction (PB-SCLC) shell, which balances durability and affordability while ensuring optimal impact absorption.
Equipped with the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system, the Quantum-X lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, resulting in a smoother surface area around the temple that better reduces impact energy transfer. The VAS latch securely holds the shield closed, preventing accidental openings and facilitating easy, intuitive operation with the added de-mist function. The VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield is compatible with the VAS-MV Pinlock® MaxVision™ lens, including a Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert, providing clear, fog-free vision in various weather conditions.
Ventilation is a key feature, with QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts that optimize airflow for comfort and temperature regulation. The side vent also functions as an exhaust even when the front shutter on the top duct is closed, maintaining consistent airflow during rides. The FCS® cheek pads feature contoured shapes supported by multiple foam layers, including a foam “spring,” which cradles the face, improves on-off ease, and significantly reduces wind noise. Additionally, the helmet comes with a water-repellent ES chin cover, enhancing the egg-shaped profile and improving airflow around the mouth area, reducing wind noise and increasing exhaust efficiency.
