The ARAI HELMETS Quantum-X Helmet in Black Frost offers a carefully designed fit tailored for riders with slightly wider heads, featuring an oval shape achieved through an interior headliner with thicker front and rear pads and thinner side pads. This ergonomic design ensures comfort during long rides while maintaining a secure fit. The Quantum-X model incorporates an improved Glance Off Ability through the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system, which lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, creating a smoother shell surface around the temple area to reduce impact energy transfer and enhance rider safety. The VAS shield latch provides a secure and intuitive mechanism for opening and closing the shield, with added de-mist capabilities that improve visibility in various weather conditions.
The helmet is equipped with QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts, delivering excellent airflow management by allowing riders to customize air intake and exhaust for optimal comfort. The side vent continues to serve as an exhaust even when the front shutter is closed, ensuring continuous ventilation. FCS® cheek pads feature a contoured design with multiple foam layers supported by a foam “spring,” which cradles the face, making helmet on-off easier and blocking wind noise effectively. The water-repellent ES chin cover enhances the helmet's aerodynamic profile, smoothing airflow around the chin area, increasing exhaust, and reducing wind noise from below. The shell construction uses Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC), combining multiple materials and techniques to deliver a durable, high-performance shell at an affordable price point. Additional features include a VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield compatible with a VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, which is included along with a Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert for fog prevention.
