Powered by advanced AI technology, the Tech-Air® 5 Street crash detection algorithm uses six integrated sensors—three accelerometers (including a triaxial accelerometer) and three gyroscopes (including a triaxial gyroscope)—to monitor dynamic riding scenarios with high accuracy. These sensors enable the system to detect potential crashes such as lowsides or highside impacts, deploying the airbag within milliseconds when necessary. Developed with over 2 million kilometers of riding data and more than 2,000 crash evaluations, the Alpinestars crash detection algorithm ensures reliable and rapid response in emergency situations. Once inflated, the airbag provides comprehensive protection covering the rider's full chest and back, with an integrated pocket available for additional passive back protection.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth integration with the Tech-Air® App, allowing riders to monitor system status, battery life, and review ride data on a detailed map through MyRide.
