The Alpinestars Tech-Air® 3 v2 System is a lightweight, autonomous airbag designed for versatile use over or under motorcycle jackets, making it an ideal safety solution for touring, urban commuting, and light off-road riding. Equipped with advanced AI technology, the Wearable Tech-Air® System v2 utilizes the Tech-Air® 5 Street crash detection algorithm to accurately monitor riding conditions and determine the optimal moment for airbag deployment. Its sophisticated system leverages six integrated sensors, including three accelerometers and three gyroscopes, to provide precise crash detection across a variety of dynamic street riding scenarios, even when the rider is stationary. The system's activation is swift, inflating the airbag within milliseconds to offer comprehensive upper body protection, covering the full chest and back areas, which are critical zones during impacts. An integrated back protector pocket allows the addition of passive back protection for further safety enhancement. The front chest LED display indicates the operational status of the system and features a haptic alert that vibrates to confirm the device is armed and to notify the rider when the battery is low, ensuring continuous protection. Developed and refined with over 2 million kilometers of riding data and more than 2000 crashes analyzed, Alpinestars’ crash detection algorithm provides reliable and accurate deployment predictions, offering peace of mind on every ride. Bluetooth connectivity enables seamless integration with the Tech-Air® App, allowing users to monitor system status, battery life, and access ride maps through MyRide, enhancing overall riding experience and safety management. The system's versatility allows it to be worn over or under a wide range of motorcycle jackets, including leather and textile options, provided the jacket has adequate space for inflation.
