The Alpinestars Tech-Air® 3 v2 Canvas Vest offers advanced rider safety with a fully autonomous active airbag system that requires no external connections or sensors on your motorcycle. Equipped with six integrated sensors, including three accelerometers (one triaxial) and three gyroscopes (one triaxial), it delivers superior crash monitoring performance across a variety of dynamic riding situations, even when stationary. The system activates automatically via a magnetic zip closure, ensuring quick deployment in the event of a crash. Its packable design allows for easy storage in a backpack, saddlebag, top case, or pannier when not in use, making it an ideal choice for riders seeking convenience and safety. The outer shell is constructed from stretch nylon canvas with a ribbed bomber collar and elasticated side panels, providing both comfort and flexibility for active riding. The vest features a center zipper secured with two internal magnet snap buttons—one to hold the chest bladder in place during riding and another to fold it back when not needed. Additional features include two zippered hand pockets, two chest pockets with a sunglasses channel on the right side, and an inner concealed pocket for small essentials. A waist loop allows attachment of gloves or other gear for added convenience. A discreet LED display on the front chest shows the system's operational status, illuminated with reflective backing for visibility in low light. The LED includes a haptic alert that vibrates to confirm the system is armed and alerts the rider when battery power is low. The vest incorporates Alpinestars' Pro 2nd Generation compact Electronic Control Unit (ECU), housed in the upper back pocket, which manages system operations and connectivity. Bluetooth low energy (BLE 5.0) enables seamless connection to the Tech-Air® App for monitoring system health, battery status, and ride mapping through MyRide. The vest software is upgradable via the app, ensuring riders can keep their system current. Powered by an integrated lithium-ion battery with a 40-hour lifespan and a four-hour recharge time, the vest's electronics, gas inflator, and wiring are easily removable for maintenance or replacement. The gas inflator, located in the lower back housing, provides inflation gas for airbag deployment and can be replaced by authorized Alpinestars dealers and service centers. Certified for all-weather performance between -20°C and +40°C, the vest's ECU seal protection ensures durability in diverse riding conditions. The washable canvas shell allows for easy cleaning once electronics are removed, maintaining the vest’s appearance and hygiene.
