The ARAI HELMETS Quantum-X Helmet in Diamond Black is designed for riders seeking optimal protection and comfort with a sleek, oval-shaped profile. Its interior headliner combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads, providing a fit tailored for slightly wider heads rather than elongated shapes. Equipped with the Variable Axis System (VAS), the Quantum-X features an innovative shield system that lowers the pivot point by approximately 24 mm. This adjustment results in a smoother shell surface in the temple area, which enhances impact energy dissipation and minimizes injury risk. The VAS latch securely holds the shield closed, preventing accidental openings while allowing for easy, intuitive operation—especially when de-misting is necessary. Additionally, the helmet includes a VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield compatible with the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, with Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ included, ensuring fog-free visibility in various riding conditions.
The helmet also incorporates QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts, providing excellent airflow management. The side vent functions as an exhaust even when the front shutter on the top duct is closed, maintaining optimal ventilation. The FCS® cheek pads are contoured with multiple foam densities supported by a foam “spring,” cradling the face comfortably while significantly reducing wind noise. The water-repellent ES chin cover enhances the helmet’s aerodynamic profile, smoothing airflow, increasing exhaust in the mouth area, and decreasing wind noise from below.
