The Alpinestars Supertech R10 helmet combines advanced molding technology with a multi-composite shell design to deliver optimal strength, energy dissipation, and lightweight performance. The outer shell features a 3K high-density carbon layer, offering superior durability and enhanced energy management during impacts. Beneath this, layers of uni-directional carbon, aramid fiber, and fiberglass are bonded with epoxy resin to create a layered composite structure that maximizes mechanical strength while maintaining a lightweight profile. This construction helps reduce outer shell deflection and distributes impact forces more effectively across the helmet, providing reliable protection in both linear and oblique crashes. The helmet's inner shell incorporates an eight-piece multi-density EPS liner with six strategically placed densities, ensuring excellent impact absorption and a secure, comfortable fit for the rider. The smooth, low-friction inner surface is designed to mitigate rotational and oblique forces, allowing the helmet to move independently of the rider's head during impact and reducing the risk of injury or concussion. The A-Head Fitment System allows precise adjustment of the helmet’s height and tilt, enabling a customized fit that enhances comfort, reduces weight, and improves impact performance. Aerodynamically developed through CFD simulations and validated in wind tunnels and on-track testing, the Supertech R10 features two aerodynamic spoilers—standard and race versions—with elastic joints that detach upon significant impact to reduce rotational energy transfer. Lateral winglets further support aerodynamic stability, while the visor incorporates turbulators to improve aero-acoustic performance. Ventilation is optimized with 11 intake and exhaust points, including large chin and top vents, along with integrated air channels within the EPS liner that promote active airflow over the rider’s head, ensuring comfort during high-intensity riding. The large top vent features a central slider to channel air efficiently, while chin and rear exhaust vents help manage heat and humidity, preventing fogging and misting for clear visibility.
