S&S Cycle Easy Start Camshaft 635 H.O. Gear Drive for Twin Cam '07-'17 and Dyna '06 - Part 330-0339
The S&S Cycle 330-0339 Easy Start Camshaft is designed to simplify engine startups by initially reducing crank compression. Once the engine reaches higher RPMs, the centrifugal retraction of the compression release lobe allows the engine to run normally with full compression, ensuring no performance loss. This high-lift camshaft is ideal for modified engines with at least 106 cubic inches of displacement and compression ratios between 10.0:1 and 11.0:1, providing optimal power output from 3,000 to 6,000 RPM. The package includes camshafts, a 4-gear set, gearcover gasket, bearings, retaining ring, o-ring, thread lock, and instructions, all made in the USA. It is important to note that this camshaft is not a bolt-in replacement and is not suitable for models equipped with OEM compression releases. It performs well with stock, un-ported heads, though S&S CNC ported heads are recommended for enhanced performance. High-lift valve springs, adjustable pushrods, and clearance checks are necessary for proper installation. Due to gear drive characteristics, expect increased valve train noise during operation. This camshaft offers a reliable upgrade for riders seeking improved starting performance and increased power in their Twin Cam '07-'17 and Dyna '06 models.
Features:
- Allows for easy engine start by reducing crank compression initially
- Centrifugal retraction of compression release lobes at higher RPMs for normal engine operation
- High-lift camshaft suitable for engines with 106+ cubic inches and compression ratios between 10.0:1 and 11.0:1
- Optimized power range from 3,000 to 6,000 RPM
- Includes comprehensive installation kit with camshafts, gear set, gaskets, bearings, and instructions
- Made in the USA with quality components
- Not compatible with OEM compression release models
- Works best with stock un-ported heads; CNC ported heads recommended
