The S&S CYCLE Crankcase Part 310-0878 is designed for high-performance applications, offering a robust foundation for custom engines or replacement in Dyna models. Crafted from superior 356-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, this crankcase features thicker wall sections for added strength while maintaining a stock appearance. Its durable powder coat finish enhances corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal, ensuring long-lasting performance in demanding environments. The reinforced front motor mount provides extra stability during operation, supporting aggressive tuning and extended use. Equipped with a Timken® sprocket shaft bearing, it delivers reliable power transfer suitable for the most challenging applications. This crankcase is clearanced for strokes up to 4-3/16 inches and cams with up to 0.720-inch lift, offering versatility for customized engine builds. It includes essential components such as a pinion gear, Timken® bearing, studs, and cam bearings already installed, streamlining the assembly process. The crankcase also features machined provisions for the new S&S oil line installation kits, sold separately, ensuring compatibility with modern lubrication systems. Made in the USA, this crankcase includes a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) for registration and warranty purposes.
