The ProTaper KTM 250 SX Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 51 Teeth - Red is a Race Spec (RS) series rear sprocket made from heat-treated 7075-T6 billet aluminum and CNC-machined in the USA. ProTaper's angled mud grooves run on both sides of every tooth, creating a self-cleaning action that sheds mud during riding and increases tooth surface contact area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets, which ProTaper says leads to longer sprocket life. Built-in countersinks center the sprocket to the hub automatically during installation, so no separate hub center guide is needed. With fitment spanning the KTM 250 SX from 1998 through 2026 along with a wide range of KTM, Husqvarna, and Gas Gas models, this sprocket covers a broad selection of off-road and motocross machines.
A 51-tooth rear sprocket sits on the larger end of the range, which lowers overall gearing for quicker acceleration off the line at the expense of top speed.
