The ProTaper KTM 250 SX Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 52 Teeth - Red is a 52-tooth rear sprocket cut from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum and finished with a deep-penetrating anodized coating that resists corrosion and wear. ProTaper machines an angled mud groove into both sides of every tooth, which sheds mud during riding and increases tooth surface area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets, resulting in better chain contact and longer sprocket life. Built in the USA to close tolerances, it also features countersunk mounting holes that self-center the sprocket to the hub during installation. It fits the KTM 250 SX from 1998 through 2026, along with a wide range of KTM, Husqvarna, and Gas Gas models.
A 52-tooth rear sprocket sits on the larger end of the range, which lowers overall gearing for sharper acceleration and quicker response out of corners, at the cost of some top-end speed.
