The ProTaper KTM 250 SX Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 51 Teeth - Black is a Race Spec (RS) rear sprocket cut from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum and finished with a deep-penetrating anodize that resists corrosion and wear. ProTaper machines angled mud grooves into both sides of every tooth, which helps shed mud during riding and increases tooth surface area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets, resulting in better chain contact and longer sprocket life. Built in the USA to tight CNC tolerances, it also features countersunk mounting holes that self-center the sprocket on the hub without needing a separate hub center guide. It fits a wide range of KTM and Husqvarna off-road and motocross machines, with the KTM 250 SX covered from 1993 through 2022.
A 51-tooth rear sprocket sits on the larger end of the range, which lowers overall gearing for stronger acceleration off the line and out of corners at the cost of some top-end speed.
