The ProTaper KTM 250 SX Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 51 Teeth - Orange is a Race Spec (RS) rear sprocket cut from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum and finished with a deep-penetrating anodize that resists corrosion and wear. ProTaper machines an angled mud groove into both sides of every tooth, which sheds mud during riding and increases tooth surface area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets, putting more chain contact on the sprocket and extending its service life. Built in the USA and sized at 51 teeth, it fits the KTM 250 SX as well as a wide range of KTM and Husqvarna motocross, cross-country, and enduro models. Countersinks built into the sprocket self-center it on the hub at installation, so no separate hub center guide is needed.
A 51-tooth rear sprocket sits on the larger end of the range, which lowers overall gearing for stronger acceleration out of corners and off the line at the cost of some top-end speed.
