The ProTaper KTM 65 SX Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 49 Teeth - Orange is a 49-tooth rear sprocket made for the KTM 65 SX and a range of other small-bore machines from Gas Gas, Husqvarna, KTM, and Triumph. ProTaper cuts it from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum and anodizes it with a deep-penetrating finish that resists corrosion and wear. Its Race Spec series design includes angled mud grooves on both sides of every tooth that shed mud during riding, which ProTaper says increases tooth surface area by up to 40% over competing sprockets for better chain contact and longer sprocket life. Countersinks built into the sprocket automatically center it on the hub at installation, so no separate hub center guide is needed.
A larger rear sprocket like this 49-tooth option lowers your overall gearing, giving you quicker acceleration off the line at the cost of some top-end speed.
