The Progressive Suspension 465 Series Shock with Remote Adjustable Preload (RAP) offers superior performance for demanding riding conditions. Featuring a high-pressure gas monotube design, these shocks deliver consistent damping and ride quality. The RAP system incorporates a remote hydraulic adjuster, enabling quick and precise preload adjustments to accommodate different loads such as passengers or luggage, enhancing versatility and convenience for riders who need on-the-fly suspension tuning. The five-position rebound adjustment allows riders to fine-tune the damping response, tailoring the suspension to various terrains and riding styles for optimal control and comfort.
Constructed with a durable hard-anodized aluminum body and components, these shocks provide excellent corrosion resistance and longevity. The 46 mm bore and deflective disc piston work together to deliver precise damping characteristics, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride over a variety of surfaces. A 16 mm hard-chrome shaft rides on custom Viton seals, reducing friction and preventing leaks for reliable performance over time. Each shock is custom-tuned, with specific damping and spring rates designed for each fitment, ensuring optimal handling and ride quality.
Before installation, verify that the wheel travel can be adjusted without causing clearance issues such as swingarm or axle contact with exhaust, chain/belt guard, or tires. These shocks are recommended for heavy-duty applications, especially for bikes operating near or at the maximum load capacity most of the time, providing the durability and performance needed for demanding riding conditions.
