The Fly Racing Youth Formula CC Glide Helmet offers advanced protection and comfort for young riders. Constructed with a tri-weave composite shell made of carbon fiber, DuPont™ Kevlar®, and fiberglass, this helmet provides a lightweight yet highly resistant barrier against penetration. Impact Energy Cells crafted from RHEON technology work to absorb low-speed linear and rotational impacts, reducing the forces transmitted to the rider’s brain and enhancing safety during falls or collisions. The Conehead® dual-density EPS liner system further improves impact management by providing a softer, more adaptable liner that effectively absorbs impact forces, especially during low to high-speed impacts.
Six critical zones have been meticulously engineered for a progressive response, ensuring the helmet responds appropriately to various impact scenarios. The expanded volume EPS design strategically increases impact absorption in key areas, creating more suspension between the rider’s head and the ground. An expanded polypropylene (EPP) chin bar adds an extra layer of impact mitigation, thanks to its superior damage resistance and energy-absorbing properties. A clavicle shell relief zone filled with EPS and EPP helps reduce clavicle injuries by providing a soft zone in the helmet structure.
The helmet features a custom-molded rubber trim with an integrated nose guard for added protection against impact. Weighing approximately 2.9 pounds in medium/large sizes, the design balances durability with lightweight comfort. The comfort liner and quick-release cheek pads are made of washable, moisture-wicking, anti-microbial materials, ensuring freshness during extended use. True Functional Ventilation (TFV) is incorporated to promote airflow; air is actively forced through multiple intake vents, passing through aligned channels in the EPS and exiting through rear exhaust vents to keep the rider cool.
Additional features include a soft fleece helmet bag for easy storage and transportation, and an optional cold weather breath guard for riding in colder conditions.
