The Fly Racing Youth Formula CC Glide Helmet in Black, Red, and Grey YL is engineered to deliver superior protection and comfort for young riders. Constructed with a tri-weave composite shell that combines carbon fiber, DuPont™ Kevlar®, and fiberglass, this helmet boasts a lightweight design while providing exceptional penetration resistance, ensuring safety without compromising mobility. The impact energy cells made of RHEON are strategically placed to maximize absorption of both linear and rotational impacts at low speeds, significantly reducing transmitted forces to the rider’s brain. Additionally, the helmet features Conehead® dual-density EPS technology, which offers a softer liner that helps manage impact forces more effectively, enhancing overall impact mitigation.
Designed with six critical zones, the helmet provides a progressive response to impacts of varying speeds, while expanded volume EPS in key areas offers increased impact absorption and additional suspension between the rider's head and the ground. The expanded polypropylene (EPP) chin bar adds an extra layer of impact resistance, known for its superior damage resistance and energy absorption properties. A clavicle shell relief zone filled with EPS and EPP helps in reducing clavicle injuries, providing comprehensive safety features. The helmet also includes a custom-molded rubber trim with an integrated nose guard for added protection.
For comfort and convenience, the helmet is equipped with a washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial comfort liner and quick-release cheek pads, ensuring a secure fit and easy maintenance. True Functional Ventilation (TFV) technology allows airflow through multiple intake vents, passing through aligned channels within the EPS and exiting via rear exhaust vents to keep riders cool during active riding. The lightweight design weighs approximately 2.9 pounds and comes with a soft fleece helmet bag for storage and transport. An optional cold weather breath guard is also available, making this helmet suitable for various riding conditions.
