The Fly Racing Formula CC Glide Helmet in Blue, Light Grey, and Gray is engineered for riders seeking superior safety and comfort. Featuring a tri-weave composite shell made of carbon fiber, DuPont™ Kevlar®, and fiberglass, this helmet offers a lightweight yet robust barrier against impacts. Impact Energy Cells constructed from RHEON maximize absorption of both low-speed and rotational impacts, significantly reducing transmitted forces to the rider’s brain. The helmet's design incorporates Conehead® Dual-density EPS technology, which employs a softer liner with cones to manage impact forces more efficiently, enhancing protection during a crash.
Strategically designed with six critical zones, the helmet provides a progressive response to impacts at varying speeds. The expanded volume EPS sections increase impact absorption capacity, creating more suspension between the rider's head and the ground. The expanded Polypropylene (EPP) chin bar adds another layer of impact mitigation with its superior damage resistance and energy-absorbing properties. Additionally, the clavicle shell relief zone features a soft EPS and EPP fill to reduce clavicle injuries in the event of a fall. A custom-molded rubber trim with an integrated nose guard enhances durability and protection.
Weighing approximately 2.9 pounds (size MD/LG), this helmet balances lightweight comfort with high-performance safety features. It includes a comfort liner and quick-release cheek pads made from washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial materials to ensure a dry and comfortable fit. True Functional Ventilation (TFV) channels air efficiently through multiple intake vents, EPS channels, and rear exhaust vents, maintaining optimal airflow during motion. For added convenience, a soft fleece helmet bag is included, with an optional cold weather breath guard available for enhanced riding comfort in various conditions.
