The Fly Racing Formula CC Glide Helmet in Purple, Stone, and Black offers riders a high level of protection and comfort with advanced materials and innovative design. Constructed with a tri-weave composite shell made of carbon fiber, DuPont™ Kevlar®, and fiberglass, this helmet provides lightweight durability and superior resistance against penetration. Impact Energy Cells made of RHEON are strategically placed to absorb both linear and rotational impacts, reducing the forces transmitted to the rider’s brain during low-speed crashes. The Conehead® Dual-density EPS technology enhances impact management by providing a softer liner that absorbs impacts more efficiently, especially in critical zones fine-tuned for rapid response to various impact speeds.
The helmet features expanded volume EPS in key areas, increasing impact absorption and creating more space between the rider’s head and the ground, which contributes to overall safety. An expanded polypropylene (EPP) chin bar adds an extra layer of impact mitigation, known for its damage resistance and energy-absorbing properties. The clavicle shell relief zone is designed with EPS and EPP to help reduce clavicle injuries during falls. A custom-molded rubber trim with an integrated nose guard enhances protection and durability, while true functional ventilation (TFV) ensures optimal airflow by channeling air from multiple intake vents through EPS channels and out rear exhaust vents, keeping riders cool during active riding sessions.
The helmet weighs approximately 2.9 pounds in medium/large sizes and includes a washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial comfort liner and quick-release cheek pads for easy maintenance. For additional comfort in colder conditions, an optional cold weather breath guard is available. The package also includes a soft fleece helmet bag for storage and transportation, making this helmet a versatile choice for riders seeking safety, comfort, and style in one package.
