The helmet's Variable Axis System (VAS) shield mechanism improves the shape of the shell and allows for intuitive shield operation. The VAS latch securely holds the VAS-Max Vision (MV) shield closed to prevent accidental opening, while the larger latch facilitates seamless de-mist and shield adjustments. The VAS system lowers the pivot point by approximately 24 mm, creating a smoother shell surface in the temple area, which helps reduce impact energy transfer and improves aerodynamics.
For optimal ventilation, the Signet-X features QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts that provide excellent airflow, even when the front shutter on the top duct is closed. One side vent acts as an exhaust vent, ensuring continuous airflow and rider comfort. The helmet also includes FCS® cheek pads with a contoured shape supported by multiple foam layers and a foam “spring,” which cradle the face, block wind noise, and enhance overall fit. Additionally, the water-repellent, removable ES chin cover increases exhaust from the mouth area, helping to improve airflow and reduce fogging.
The interior liner is made from odor-resistant material that resists bacterial build-up, maintaining freshness over extended periods of use. The helmet comes equipped with the VAS-Max Vision (MV) shield compatible with the VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, which is included along with the Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ lens for fog prevention and clear visibility in various riding conditions.
