The ARAI Helmets Signet-X Helmet in the Oriental 2 design offers a tailored fit for riders with a narrow head and a more pronounced forehead, featuring a long oval shape achieved by adjusting the EPS liner's front-to-back spacing. This design enhances comfort and fit for specific head shapes, ensuring better stability and reduced fatigue during long rides. The helmet's shell incorporates Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC), combining multiple materials to deliver a balance of performance, durability, and affordability. This construction method effectively absorbs impact energy and provides a sturdy protective barrier against road hazards.
Equipped with the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield mechanism, the Signet-X provides seamless shield operation with an intuitive latch that securely holds the shield closed, preventing accidental openings. The VAS system also lowers the shield pivot point by an average of 24 mm, creating a smoother shell surface in the temple area, which enhances impact absorption and reduces wind resistance. The larger latch design simplifies shield handling, offering quick and easy adjustments even while riding. The helmet features the VAS-Max Vision (MV) shield compatible with the new VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, complemented by the included Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert, to combat fogging and improve visibility.
The Signet-X incorporates advanced ventilation with QVF three-position intake vents and QVR exhaust ducts, ensuring optimal airflow regardless of riding conditions. Even when the front shutter is closed, the side vent functions as an exhaust, maintaining fresh airflow. The FCS® cheek pads are contoured with multiple foam densities supported by a foam “spring,” cradling the face comfortably while blocking wind noise and reducing vibrations. The helmet also features a water-repellent, removable ES chin cover that enhances the egg-shaped profile and improves exhaust from the mouth area. The odor-resistant liner material resists bacteria buildup, keeping the helmet fresher for longer periods, which is essential for maintaining hygiene and comfort during extended use.
