The ARAI HELMETS Corsair-X Tsubasa helmet offers advanced safety and comfort features designed for serious riders. Its innovative VAS shield mechanism incorporates a variable axis with a moving pivot point, ensuring smooth opening and closing even with a lower shield mount position. The dual-function lever allows quick and easy removal of the side cover and shield pin, simplifying the shield change process and enabling riders to see the mechanism for easier maintenance. The shield latch securely holds the shield closed, preventing accidental openings and providing added security during rides. The larger latch, combined with the de-mist function, enhances ease of operation and ensures clear visibility in all conditions.
Designed with safety in mind, the helmet features a glance-off ability thanks to a smaller, lower VAS pivot cover and a smooth shell profile along the SNell test line in the temple area. This design helps reduce the impact of objects during a crash, improving overall safety. The PB-SNC² shell, created from super fiber and synthetic fibers, offers a lightweight yet strong structure with excellent tensile strength and flexibility, ensuring durability without unnecessary weight. The diffuser type 12 air intake vents are adjustable in three positions, providing improved sealing to reduce road noise and water intrusion, enhancing comfort during various riding environments.
Inside, the helmet features an odor-resistant, fully removable liner that maintains a neutral pH level close to the skin, promoting comfort and hygiene. The soft frame material and removable padding—including temple and crown pads—allow a customized fit tailored to individual preferences. The VAS Max-V (BV) shield provides expansive visibility for all-season riding, with a standard clear Pinlock® insert included for fog resistance. The IC Duct5 airflow system enhances ventilation, utilizing a three-position switch that is easier to operate and helps limit water intrusion when fully closed, ensuring comfort and protection in diverse weather conditions.
