The ARAI Helmets Corsair-X MVK Oakley 2XL is engineered for superior safety, comfort, and performance on the road. Featuring the innovative VAS shield mechanism, this helmet incorporates a variable axis with a moving pivot point that ensures smooth opening and closing, even with a lower shield mount position. The dual-function lever allows quick and easy removal of the shield and side cover, making maintenance and shield changes effortless. Visibility is enhanced with the VAS Max-V (BV) shield, which offers clear sightlines in all weather conditions, complemented by the standard Pinlock® insert for fog resistance. The helmet’s shell is constructed from a combination of super fibers and synthetic fibers, delivering high tensile strength and flexibility while maintaining a lightweight profile, which reduces rider fatigue during extended use. Additionally, the diffuser Type 12 air intake vents can be adjusted to three positions, optimizing airflow while minimizing road noise and water intrusion for a more comfortable ride. The helmet’s odor-resistant liner is fully removable, helping to maintain a neutral pH and enhance overall hygiene. The soft, comfortable interior features removable temple padding and a crown pad, allowing for a customized fit tailored to individual preferences. The design includes the Glance-Off ability, with a lower VAS pivot cover and smooth shell along the SNell test line in the temple area, which helps the helmet glance off objects during impact, increasing safety. The VAS latch securely holds the shield closed, preventing unexpected opening, and allows intuitive operation with its larger latch and de-mist function for clear visibility. The IC Duct5 provides efficient airflow, with three-position switches that are easier to operate and limit water intrusion when fully closed.
