Featuring advanced AI technology, the Tech-Air® 5 Street crash detection algorithm precisely determines when to deploy the airbag, providing reliable protection in a variety of riding scenarios. Its design includes six integrated sensors—three accelerometers and three gyroscopes—that actively monitor your movements and environmental factors to ensure optimal crash detection performance, even when stationary. An LED display on the chest indicates the system’s operational status and includes a haptic vibration alert to confirm when the system is armed or when the battery is running low. This user-friendly interface allows riders to stay informed about their safety system effortlessly. Developed using data from over 2 million kilometers of riding and more than 2000 crashes, Alpinestars’ crash detection algorithm has been refined to deploy the airbag milliseconds after detecting an initial impact or dangerous maneuver, such as a lowside or highside crash. Once triggered, the full upper body protection inflates rapidly, covering the rider's chest and back, significantly reducing injury risk. The system also features an integrated pocket for passive back protection, allowing riders to add extra safety layers if desired. Bluetooth connectivity enables seamless communication with the Tech-Air® App, providing real-time system status updates, battery levels, and detailed ride logs via MyRide. Versatile and compatible with most motorcycle jackets—including leather and textile options—the Tech-Air® 3 can be worn over or under your gear, provided the jacket has enough space for the inflated airbag.
