Designed for optimal performance on both track and street, the Alpinestars Supertech R7 Helmet combines advanced materials and innovative engineering to deliver superior protection, comfort, and aerodynamic stability. Its lightweight construction features a multi-composite outer shell crafted from carbon, aramid fiber, and fiberglass layers using pre-preg epoxy resin, ensuring maximum strength while maintaining a low weight. This design provides excellent energy dissipation, radial strength, and penetration resistance, making it suitable for high-speed riding and aggressive riding styles. The streamlined aerodynamic profile includes collarbone recesses fitted with high-performance PLASMA inserts, which absorb shocks effectively and help reduce injury risks during slides or impacts. The helmet’s design emphasizes visibility with a wide 220-degree peripheral and 57-degree vertical field of view, enhanced by an optimized eye port and head positioning for safer, clearer vision during riding. Inside, the multi-density EPS liner features seven strategically placed pieces across six densities, tailored to each helmet size for optimal impact absorption. The liner’s surface incorporates Alpinestars' proprietary coating, engineered to provide rotational impact protection through a low-friction slip plane, which mimics cerebrospinal fluid to reduce rotational acceleration and lower concussion risks. Aerodynamically, the Supertech R7 offers ultra-low drag and high-speed stability, thanks to an integrated spoiler designed to minimize turbulence and lateral winglets that further enhance stability and reduce strain on the neck during spirited riding. Ventilation is thoughtfully engineered with ten ports—six intake vents, including three in the chin guard and three on the helmet’s top, all adjustable via a sliding top vent—and four exhaust outlets positioned at the rear and sides. This airflow system channels air efficiently, preventing fogging and misting while maintaining a cool interior environment. The chin bar features extractor vents that evacuate humid air effectively. The helmet is equipped with an optical Class 1 shield, homologated to ECE 22.06 standards, with double-sided anti-scratch treatment. The shield varies in thickness from 1.6 mm on the sides to 2.6 mm in the center, providing clarity and durability.
