Inside, the helmet features a multi-density EPS liner with seven carefully positioned pieces across six densities, tailored to each helmet size to absorb impacts effectively. The surface of the EPS liner is treated with Alpinestars' proprietary coating, which enhances rotational impact protection by mimicking the brain's cerebrospinal fluid, helping to lower the risk of concussions and brain injuries during oblique impacts. The inner shell’s design aligns with the outer shell sizes, ensuring precise fit and optimal impact absorption without compromising comfort. The helmet’s aerodynamic shape incorporates collarbone recesses and an integrated spoiler, along with lateral winglets, to minimize turbulence and drag, delivering high-speed stability and reducing neck strain during aggressive riding.
The ventilation system includes ten strategically placed ports—six intake vents, including three on the chin guard and three on the top, and four exhaust ports at the rear and sides—allowing maximum airflow to keep riders cool and prevent shield fogging. The top vents are adjustable via a slidable mechanism, revealing three air channels for customizable cooling. Chin bar extractor vents efficiently remove humid air, maintaining a clear field of vision. The helmet is fitted with an ECE 22.06 homologated, optical Class 1 shield with double-sided anti-scratch coating, varying in thickness from 1.6 mm on the sides to 2.6 mm in the center for enhanced durability and optical clarity.
