The ALPINESTARS Supertech R10 Helmet combines advanced molding technology with a multi-composite shell construction to deliver exceptional strength and energy dissipation. Featuring a high-density 3K carbon outer layer, a uni-directional carbon composite layer, aramid fiber, and fiberglass, this helmet offers a lightweight yet durable shell that effectively manages impact forces and limits outer shell deflection. The layered composite system bonded with epoxy resin ensures optimal resin-to-fiber ratio for maximum mechanical performance, resulting in improved energy absorption and distribution over the EPS liner.
The interior of the helmet is designed for precise fit and impact protection, featuring four inner shells that are optimized to enhance comfort and reduce weight. The eight-piece multi-density EPS liner, with six strategically positioned densities, provides superior shock absorption by dissipating impact energy efficiently. The EPS surface is smooth and coated to reduce friction, facilitating low-friction movement of the comfort liner during oblique impacts, which can help mitigate rotational forces and decrease the risk of concussions.
The A-Head Fitment System allows riders to customize the helmet’s fit by adjusting both height and tilt, ensuring a secure and comfortable positioning tailored to individual preferences. Developed with CFD simulations and validated in wind tunnel testing, the helmet is aerodynamically optimized for low drag and stability. Features like lateral winglets and turbulators on the visor enhance aerodynamic performance and reduce noise, while the extensive ventilation system with 11 intake and 4 exhaust points ensures optimal airflow, keeping the rider cool and reducing fogging through strategically placed vents and channels.
