The Alpinestars Supertech R10 helmet combines advanced molding technology with a multi-composite outer shell to deliver superior strength and energy dissipation. Featuring a 3K high-density carbon outer layer, a uni-directional carbon composite layer, aramid fiber, and fiberglass, this helmet offers an optimal balance of lightweight performance and impact resistance. The layered composite construction is bonded with epoxy resin, ensuring precise resin-to-fiber ratios that maximize mechanical performance and durability. This design effectively manages energy transfer during impacts, reducing shell deflection and dispersing forces over the EPS liner for enhanced safety and comfort.
Inside, the helmet is equipped with four multi-density EPS liners, each with six strategically placed densities. This configuration provides excellent impact absorption by dissipating forces across different zones, improving protection against linear and oblique impacts. The smooth, low-friction inner surface facilitates movement between the helmet and rider's head, helping to mitigate rotational forces and reduce the risk of concussions. The inner liners are meticulously designed to ensure a snug, comfortable fit, which enhances overall helmet effectiveness in the event of a crash.
The Alpinestars Supertech R10 features the A-Head Fitment System, allowing riders to fine-tune the helmet's height and tilt to achieve a personalized fit. This adjustability ensures proper helmet positioning for comfort and safety, accommodating various head shapes and preferences. Developed with CFD simulations and validated in wind tunnels and on-track conditions, the helmet boasts low-drag aerodynamics. Lateral winglets and a visor with turbulators improve stability and aero-acoustic performance, reducing drag and noise during high-speed riding.
Ventilation is a key feature, with 11 intake and exhaust points including chin, top, and rear vents. Air intake ports are integrated with internal ducts, actively circulating airflow over the rider's head to promote cooling and reduce heat buildup. The top vent includes a large slider for easy adjustment, while the chin and rear vents facilitate effective hot air extraction, preventing fogging and maintaining clear vision. The helmet's design ensures optimal airflow management, even in demanding conditions, contributing to rider comfort and safety during extended use.
