Its aerodynamic profile is smooth and streamlined, free of external channels that could compromise structural integrity during impacts. The surface curvature is optimized for reduced friction upon impact, facilitating energy deflection and protecting the rider's head from direct force transfer to the skull, neck, and spinal column. This design ensures superior protection while maintaining lightweight comfort for demanding racing conditions. The helmet features the A-Head Fitment System, allowing precise adjustment of the helmet’s angle and height for a secure and personalized fit, essential for critical safety and comfort during intense rides. Ventilation is a key aspect, with 28 individual ports—comprising 18 intake and 10 exhaust vents—ensuring maximum airflow to keep the rider cool and reduce fatigue during extended laps. The multi-layer shell construction utilizes high-tech molding technology with a combination of materials: a high-density 3K carbon outer layer for strength and energy dissipation, a uni-directional carbon composite layer for enhanced radial strength and controlled impact deflection, and an aramid fiber layer for penetration resistance. These layers are bonded with a durable epoxy resin, providing optimal energy management and structural integrity. The shell’s design minimizes outer deflection, allowing impact forces to be absorbed efficiently by the EPS liner, which features four densities for superior shock absorption. The chin bar is sculpted with a relief section to clear the collarbone, covered by a softer EPS liner and flexible rubber compound to reduce collarbone injury risk. The helmet integrates the MIPS® Multi-directional Impact Protection System, which helps reduce rotational forces during angled impacts, significantly enhancing safety. Removable side pads made from semi-soft polymer increase impact contact area for better energy distribution, while the Emergency Release System (ERS) allows safe and easy helmet removal.
