The 6D Helmets ATS-1R Alpha Helmet in Silver combines innovative safety features with superior comfort and aerodynamic efficiency. Crafted with a lightweight yet durable 3K carbon fiber shell, this helmet provides enhanced impact management, reducing linear and angular acceleration forces during crashes. The improved fit and larger shell opening ensure better comfort and visibility, making it suitable for demanding riding conditions.
Features include a tool-less shield change system with a 10-position adjustment and lockdown lever for quick, secure modifications. The anti-scratch shield, certified VESC-8, includes a Pinlock® 120XLT® anti-fog insert for clear vision in various weather conditions. An internal breath guard directs fresh air inside the shield while exhausting breath down and out to minimize fogging, ensuring clear sightlines during rides.
The helmet is equipped with multiple intake and exhaust ports, including sculpted adjustable air intakes on the chin, brow, and crown regions, which work in tandem with a network of transfer and exhaust ports to promote optimal airflow. Internal brow vents pull air across the shield’s surface for cooling and fog dissipation. External exhaust vents positioned at strategic locations leverage negative-pressure effects to enhance internal air circulation and rider comfort.
Additional comfort features include a removable neck cuff and chin curtain, integrated speaker pockets for communication systems, and a deluxe helmet bag for storage. The aerodynamic wing, designed using advanced CAD techniques, reduces drag, buffeting, and lift at higher speeds, maximizing performance. The helmet is eyewear compatible and includes a clear Pinlock® anti-fog insert, further enhancing rider safety and convenience.
Safety is reinforced by 6D’s Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology, a fully active in-helmet suspension system that uncouples the exterior shell from the inner EPS liner. This design minimizes energy transfer during impacts through 3D liner displacement, elastomeric damping, and multiple EPS layers, offering superior protection in low, medium, and high-velocity impacts. The ODS AIR-GAP™ Ventilation System maintains excellent airflow, reducing heat buildup and fog inside the helmet, and contributes to overall rider comfort and safety.
