The 6D Helmets ATS-1R features a lightweight 3K carbon fiber shell designed for optimal impact management and durability, providing reliable protection during high-speed rides. Its improved impact management system utilizes multiple layers of advanced materials, including a fully active Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology that uncouples the shell from the inner EPS liner, effectively reducing linear and angular forces transferred to the rider's head in the event of a crash. This innovative system is complemented by dual EPS liners separated by elastomeric dampers, enabling superior absorption across low, medium, and high-velocity impacts for enhanced safety.
The helmet boasts a larger shell opening and an improved fit for increased comfort and visibility. Its anti-scratch shield, certified VESC-8, offers excellent durability and clarity, while the tool-less shield change mechanism allows quick and effortless adjustments. The shield includes a Pinlock® 120XLT® insert for anti-fog performance, ensuring clear vision in various conditions. Multiple ventilation features, such as sculpted intake ports, internal brow vents, and exhaust vents positioned strategically around the helmet, promote continuous airflow to keep the rider cool and reduce fogging. The internal breath guard directs fresh air inside the shield, enhancing visibility during rides.
Additional features include integrated speaker pockets for communication systems, eyewear compatibility, and a removable neck cuff and chin curtain for versatility and comfort. The aerodynamic wing, crafted through advanced CAD design, minimizes drag, buffeting, and lift at high speeds, improving stability. The helmet is equipped with six adjustable intake ports that channel air through a network of transfer and exhaust ports, maintaining optimal internal airflow. The internal design also incorporates internal brow vents that draw air across the inside of the shield to further aid in cooling.
