The kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips, providing all essential components for a comprehensive replacement. The piston itself is heat-treated with a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle, enhancing its resistance to wear and high temperatures. Vertex offers two types of pistons: cast replica pistons for a lightweight solution and forged pistons for increased strength and high compression. High compression forged pistons deliver increased power and torque, while big bore forged pistons enhance engine displacement, peak horsepower, and overall torque. Keep in mind that the kit is tailored for four-stroke engines, and replacement rings are sold separately, with two-stroke rings available individually.
