This kit includes a lightweight yet strong cast aluminum piston, coated with a hi-tech Molybdenum Disulphide layer to ensure faster break-in times and extended piston life. Crafted from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, this piston offers excellent strength while maintaining a lightweight profile, ideal for high-performance applications.
Forged variants are also available, made from 2618 aluminum for superior durability and increased power output. Forged high compression pistons enhance power and torque across the entire RPM range, providing improved acceleration and engine responsiveness. For larger displacement, the forged big bore pistons increase torque and peak horsepower, making them suitable for racing or demanding off-road conditions.
All Vertex pistons undergo a heat treatment cycle involving T-5 hardening and tempering to ensure long-lasting performance. These pistons are OEM replacements, ensuring compatibility and reliable fitment. The kit includes everything needed for installation, such as the piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips. Replacement rings are sold separately and are available in sets for four-stroke engines or individually for two-stroke engines, depending on your specific needs.
