The S&S Cycle Oil Pump with Gears (Part #31-6295) is engineered for reliable performance in Harley-Davidson Big Twin models from 1978 to 1991. This comprehensive rebuild kit includes an oil pump, universal cover with top and bottom feeds, mounting bolts, supply and return gears, drive shaft with keys and snap rings, check ball and spring, pressure relief valve and spring, check ball and release valve cover screws with O-rings, along with assorted hose fittings, plugs, screws, and gaskets. The design features both standard and universal covers, providing flexible oil feed and return options to accommodate a variety of customized applications. The pump's smoother design enhances flow, and its pressure relief towers are approximately 0.300 inches shorter than OEM pumps, contributing to improved clearance and performance. Crafted in the USA, this pump accepts 3/8-inch rubber oil lines for easy installation. Please note that models from 1973 to 1980 may require drilling using the optional drilling jig (Part # DS-197009, sold separately) to ensure proper fitment.
