The S&S Cycle HVHP Oil Pump Cover (Part 31-6208) is engineered to optimize oil flow and enhance engine lubrication efficiency. Featuring a new gear tooth profile with fewer but larger teeth, this pump provides increased oil volume for both supply and return sides, ensuring your engine remains properly lubricated under demanding conditions. The supply-side gears are 9% wider than stock, while the return gears are 28% wider, facilitating a greater volume of oil being scavenged and returned to the oil tank. This design helps reduce oil accumulation in the crankcase breather, promoting cleaner operation and improved engine performance.
The HVHP oil pump is available in both universal and standard styles. The universal version offers multiple oil feed and return options, giving you maximum flexibility for custom installations. The standard style is tailored for '92-'99 models with specific oil line hookups, making it straightforward to replace existing pumps without extensive modifications. Each kit includes essential components such as supply gears, return gears, drive shaft, drive shaft keys, snap rings, check ball, check ball spring, pressure valve spring, cover screws with O-rings, hose fittings, plugs, screws, gaskets, mounting hardware, and a comprehensive shim kit with instructions. The oil pump comes with only the supply gears, return gears, and necessary hardware for installation.
