The ProTaper KTM 50 SX Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 42 Teeth - Black is a 42-tooth rear sprocket built for the KTM 50 SX from 2009 through 2013. It is part of ProTaper's Race Spec series, machined from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum and finished with a deep-penetrating anodized coating that resists corrosion and wear. Each tooth carries an angled mud groove on both sides, which sheds mud during riding and increases tooth surface contact area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets, extending sprocket life. Countersinks built into the sprocket automatically center it to the hub during installation, so no separate hub center guide is needed. Made in the USA, this sprocket suits riders who want a longer-lasting, self-cleaning rear sprocket for the 50 SX.
Fitting a larger rear sprocket lowers your overall gearing, which sharpens acceleration off the line while reducing top speed.
