The ProTaper Honda CRF450R Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 51 Teeth - Black is a Race Spec (RS) rear sprocket cut from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum and CNC-machined in the USA. ProTaper's angled mud grooves run on both sides of every tooth, creating a self-cleaning action that sheds mud during riding and increases tooth surface contact area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets. A deep-penetrating anodized finish resists corrosion and wear, and built-in countersinks automatically center the sprocket to the hub at installation without a separate hub center guide. This sprocket fits the CRF450R as well as a wide range of other Honda CR, CRF, and XR models.
A 51-tooth rear sprocket sits on the larger end of the range, which lowers overall gearing for stronger acceleration out of corners and tighter sections at the cost of some top-end speed.
