The ProTaper Honda CRF450R Rear Aluminum Sprocket - 50 Teeth - Black is a Race Spec (RS) rear sprocket made from 7075-T6 heat-treated billet aluminum and CNC-machined in the USA, built for Honda dirt bikes and dual-sport models across a wide range of makes and years. ProTaper cuts angled mud grooves into both sides of every tooth, which helps clear mud during riding and increases tooth surface area by up to 40% compared to competing sprockets, resulting in better chain contact and longer sprocket life. Countersinks built into the sprocket automatically center it to the hub on installation, so no separate hub center guide is needed. A deep-penetrating anodized finish gives the black surface added resistance to corrosion and wear.
A 50-tooth rear sprocket sits on the larger end of the spectrum, which lowers overall gearing for quicker acceleration at the cost of top speed.
