The ProTaper Honda CRF250R Front Sprocket - 13 Teeth is a Race Spec (RS) front sprocket built for the Honda CRF250R and several other Honda dirt bikes. ProTaper CNC machines it from case-hardened 655M13 nickel-chrome-molybdenum alloy steel with internal broaching to tight tolerances, then applies a proprietary coating to slow wear and resist corrosion. Lightening holes cut rotating weight, and mud grooves keep dirt from packing into the sprocket during riding. It suits riders running a Honda CR125R, CRF250R, or CRF250X who want a bolt-on front sprocket built to a tight spec.
A 13-tooth front sprocket sits on the smaller end of the typical range, which lowers overall gearing for sharper acceleration off the line at the cost of some top-end speed.
