ProTaper EVO Windham MX / RM Mid Handlebar - Black

The ProTaper EVO Windham MX / RM Mid Handlebar - Black is ProTaper's flagship unbraced handlebar, built from a proprietary 7000-series aluminum alloy with a 4mm wall and a computer-profiled shape that ProTaper says makes it up to 25% lighter and 45% stronger than competing bars. The unbraced design allows more flex and impact absorption than conventional handlebars, which ProTaper says reduces rider fatigue without giving up strength. Independent lab testing backs the company's claim that EVO bars outlast every other handlebar on the market in fatigue life, and the finish includes shot peening, stress relieving, anodizing, and an epoxy inner coating for long-term durability.

This bar runs 800mm wide, giving you solid leverage at the grips, and the width can be trimmed down if your riding position calls for it. The 74mm rise lifts the grip area well above the clamp, a height that works well for riders who spend time standing or who prefer the bars up closer to them. A 53mm sweep angles the grips back toward the rider for a more relaxed wrist angle, and the 180mm control area on each side gives you plenty of straight tube to position levers and switches where you want them.
