ProTaper Fuzion Windham / RM Mid Handlebar

The ProTaper Fuzion Windham / RM Mid Handlebar is a crossbar-equipped aluminum handlebar built around ProTaper's flex locking system, which lets riders switch between a stiffer, more connected feel and a softer, more forgiving feel to suit different terrain. In locked mode the crossbar is rigid, giving direct feedback through the bars; in unlocked mode the crossbar telescopes and flexes, absorbing more vibration and impact. The bar is constructed from ProTaper's proprietary 2000-series T6 aluminum alloy, cold-forged crossbar hardware, and CNC-machined clamp components, with a shot-peened, stress-relieved, and anodized finish. At 2.1 lbs. without the pad, and sold with a crossbar pad included, it suits riders who want the option to tune handlebar feel on the fly.

This bar has an 800mm width, a 70mm rise, and 53mm of sweep. The 70mm rise brings the grip area up a noticeable amount, which works well for riders who spend time standing or who prefer their hands higher relative to the clamp. The 53mm sweep angles the grips back toward the rider for a comfortable wrist position, and the 180mm control area gives adequate straight section for mounting levers and switches.
