The ProTaper EVO Husqvarna Stock Handlebar - Black is ProTaper's flagship unbraced handlebar, built from a proprietary 7000-series aluminum alloy with a 4mm wall construction that ProTaper says is up to 25% lighter and 45% stronger than competing bars. The unbraced design allows for more flex and impact absorption than conventional handlebars, which ProTaper states reduces rider fatigue without giving up strength. Independent lab testing backs ProTaper's claim that the EVO outlasts every other handlebar on the market in fatigue life.
This bar has a rise of 39.5mm, which places the grips at a moderate height above the clamp, suiting a range of rider sizes without pushing the bars dramatically high or low. The 51mm sweep angles the grips back toward the rider for a reasonably relaxed wrist position, while the 811mm width provides solid leverage and can be trimmed down to suit narrower preferences. The 210mm control area gives ample straight section for positioning levers and switches.
