ProTaper EVO Carmichael Handlebar - Black

The ProTaper EVO Carmichael Handlebar - Black is ProTaper's flagship unbraced handlebar, built from a proprietary 7000-series aluminum alloy with a 4mm wall thickness and a shot-peened, stress-relieved, anodized finish. ProTaper states it is up to 25% lighter and 45% stronger than competing handlebars, with independent lab results showing it outlasts other handlebars in fatigue life testing. At 1.4 lbs. (640 g), it is built for riders who want a bar that absorbs impact and reduces fatigue without giving up strength. The Carmichael bend is named for the riding profile it shares with that setup, and it fits a range of motocross and off-road applications.

This bar has a 40mm rise, which lifts the grip area a moderate amount above the clamp and works well for riders who spend time standing or prefer a more upright position. The 55mm sweep angles the grips back toward the rider, putting the wrists in a relaxed, natural angle rather than a straight, aggressive reach. At 800mm wide with 180mm of control area per side, the bar gives good leverage and leaves plenty of room for levers and switches, and width can be trimmed down if a narrower setup is needed.
