ProTaper Fuzion Carmichael Handlebar

The ProTaper Fuzion Carmichael Handlebar is a 1-1/8 in. (28.6mm) clamp-diameter bar built around ProTaper's Fuzion flex locking system, which lets the rider switch between a stiffer, more connected feel and a softer, more compliant feel by changing the crossbar between locked and unlocked positions in seconds. In locked mode the crossbar ties everything together for direct, solid feedback; in unlocked mode it telescopes and flexes in a way similar to ProTaper's Contour and EVO bars. The bar is made from a proprietary 2000 series T6 aluminum alloy, shot peened, stress relieved, and anodized, and comes with a crossbar pad included. It suits riders who want to tune handlebar feel to the terrain without swapping bars.

This bar has 36mm of rise, which lifts the grip area a moderate amount above the clamp and works well for riders who spend time standing or who prefer their bars sitting up rather than flat. The 55mm of sweep angles the grips noticeably back toward the rider, putting the wrists in a more relaxed, natural position compared to a straighter bar. At 800mm wide the bar offers good leverage, and the 210mm control area on each side gives plenty of room for levers and switches; width can be trimmed down if needed but cannot be extended.
